A company from the Netherlands has created a font to use that when the document is printed, it uses 20% less toner.  They do it by having small blank spaces in the letter - think swiss cheese - that saves ink.  In 12 pt font you can't notice it.  You can download the font for free or you can purchase the software to convert any font to this toner and $$ saving format.  I tried it and really liked it.
