Natural, Homemade, Streak-Free Glass Cleaner
An article from National Geographic concerning:
"Reducing the toxic cleaning chemicals in your home does not mean living with dirty windows. Natural, nontoxic, homemade glass cleaner works just as effectively as the chemical-laden version, while being safer for the environment. Commercial glass cleaners often contain 2-Butoxyethanol, which can cause sensory irritation when used in a poorly ventilated area. Toxic if ingested, 2-Butoxyethanol should be kept out of the reach of children (see References 1). Homemade glass cleaner also costs less than commercial brands. A 32 oz. bottle of national brand window cleaner cost about $4 in 2011, while the active ingredients in 32 oz. of homemade glass cleaner cost about 12 cents."
